Amerex Energy Services, a division of Amerex Brokers LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GFI Group Inc., continues to grow and has hired three new energy consultants. Beth Miletello, Chester Karchefsky and Dan Smith have been appointed Senior Energy Consultants, and will be based in Dallas, Texas, Cleveland, Ohio and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, respectively. Amerex Brokers LLC announced today that it has launched a Crude Oil Options Desk as part of its ongoing expansion efforts. The New York based desk will be led by Chris Motroni and will also include Chris Barvels and Rich Saitta. The three bring over 30 years experience in the energy industry to Amerex. The addition of the crude oil options desk will further strengthen Amerex’s strong presence in energy with existing desks in power, natural gas and environmental commodities. These licences will enable Amerex to act as an agent or broker for gas and electric marketers and/or consumers with respect to the sale or offering for sale of natural gas and electricity in Ontario. Stuart King has been appointed Vice President of Northeast Energy Consulting, Will Matthews has been appointed Director of Portfolio Management, and Brett Zeitz is Amerex’s newest Energy Consultant. This contract was competitively procured and Amerex was selected based on price, experience, reputation, quality of services, financial strength and value add services. The new desk will broker US centrally-cleared coal swaps using Trayport®-powered hybrid trading technology in addition to physical and financial OTC trades.
