Amerex Energy Services Continues To Grow; Hires Three New Senior Energy

Amerex Energy Services, a division of Amerex Brokers
LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GFI Group Inc., continues to grow and has hired
three new energy consultants. Beth Miletello, Chester Karchefsky and Dan Smith have
been appointed Senior Energy Consultants, and will be based in Dallas, Texas,
Cleveland, Ohio and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, respectively. All will report to Jeff
Shoaf, Senior Vice President of Amerex Energy Services.

Amerex Brokers LLC Launches Crude Oil Options Desk

Amerex Brokers LLC announced today that it has launched a
Crude Oil Options Desk as part of its ongoing expansion efforts. The New York based desk will
be led by Chris Motroni and will also include Chris Barvels and Rich Saitta. The three bring
over 30 years experience in the energy industry to Amerex. The addition of the crude oil
options desk will further strengthen Amerex’s strong presence in energy with existing desks in
power, natural gas and environmental commodities.

Amerex Energy Services Expands Northeast Presence, Adds Three Team

In order to support and build upon its growth, Amerex Energy Services, a division of Amerex Brokers LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GFI Group Inc. (NYSE: GFIG), has hired three new team members. Stuart King has been appointed Vice President of Northeast Energy Consulting, Will Matthews has been appointed Director of Portfolio Management, and Brett Zeitz is Amerex’s newest Energy Consultant. All will report to Jeff Shoaf, SVP of Amerex Energy Services. Mr. King will be based in Connecticut, while Mr. Matthews and Mr. Zeitz will be based in Houston.

Amerex Energy Services Awarded Energy Procurement & Management Consulting Services Contract

Amerex Energy Services was awarded the Energy Procurement and Management Consulting Services contract by the Choice Partners national cooperative at the Harris County Department of Education (HCDE) August 2013 board meeting. This contract was competitively procured and Amerex was selected based on price, experience, reputation, quality of services, financial strength and value add services. Governmental entities that have signed an interlocal contract with HCDE may access this legally procured contract.
